1. The Children’s Christmas party (Sunday 7 December ) 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Children 4 years to 9 years.

Reports of past events...

The Club trophies were presented to the season’s winners on Saturday 25 th October.

An enjoyable “Sportsman’s Brunch was held on Sunday 19 October.  Its main purpose was to boost the Centenary Fund.

Harriet Munro Anne Skirving bravely went out to play the final of the 3-Bowl Singles competition on a rainy afternoon and were rewarded, after 5 or 6 ends, when the rain cleared away.  Harriet emerged the victor. (no photo - sorry Harriet!)

The Club’s Open Pairs competition, sponsored by Belhaven Breweries was held on Sunday 24 August in ideal weather conditions.  In a fiercely competitive final , which dissolved into laughter when a player, who will remain un-named, split the seam of his trouser leg.  Ray Graham and Graham Mitchell were beaten into second place by Graham Sinclair and Jim Ralton.  The photos page shows the winners with the trophy.   A photograph of  Ray is available but has been suppressed by payment of a significant fee!   Anyone wanting to view this photo will have to make a better offer!

The Senior Nominated triples was won by Barney Quinn, Ronnie Moffat and Willie Campbell.  They had a “solid” victory over Ronnie Sutherland, George Philp and Robert MacGregor.
